Ghost hunting equipment

Some professional ghost hunters believe that the equpiment you use can determine the outcome of your hunt. Others believe it’s just material to add to the “story”.
We let you decide and offer a list of suggestions on equipment to use:

Some think paranormal activity can affect the barometric pressure in the room or house, so investing in a barometer may be the way to go.

A camera of course is something you need unless you’re just doing the hunt for yourself. Having the sppok hunt on film is a great way to prove the success of the hunt, as well as to get any feedback from the hunt such as voices, faces and apparations.

A Dowsing Rod is a metal device that looks like a bent pipe. You hold it in your hand and professionals think that the direction in which the dowsing rod moves will indication the location of paranormal activity. May be something to look into if you feel something but can’t locate where it’s coming from.

An EMF Detector is a MUST to bring along to every spook hunt! They detect electromatic signals and alot of both professionals and amature hunters alike feel that it indicated very strongly the presense of paranormal activity. Get a good one, because some of the cheaper detectors pick up on old wiring in the house or building, even those that have not had electricty in them for 20 years!

Infrared Thermal Scanners or a general thermometers is useful for detecting sudden drops in temperature, which can indicate paranormal activity. It’s understood that the cooler the room, the higher the chance of activity. With a ITS, you can point and shoot the laser beam into the direction and it takes the temp and reads it back on a LCD screen.

A microphone or some sort of recording device, other than a camera (should be something that picks up weaker signals better than a camera) is useful for picking up EVP or other noises that always seem to make themselves known during a spook hunt.

Be careful on your hunts!
